What is the difference between certified, notarised and apostilled translations?
A certified translation carries a signed statement of accuracy from the translator or agency, and is enough for the Home Office, UKVI, UK courts and most universities. A notarised translation adds a notary public's confirmation of the translator's identity and signature, which some foreign authorities and overseas courts ask for. An apostille is a certificate from the UK Foreign Office (FCDO) that legalises a notarised document for use abroad. We work with a partner notary public, so we can handle certification, notarisation and apostille for you in one order.
Do I need to send you my original document?
No. A clear photo or PDF of every page is enough. Send it by WhatsApp or email. You keep your original to submit with the translation.
Can I translate my own documents for a visa application?
Usually not. The Home Office expects a translation from an independent professional translator or agency, with their full name, contact details, a statement of accuracy, the date and a signature. Translations by the applicant or a family member are often rejected.
